As many of our customers have heard; there have been many recycling companies that have been sending their recycling over to third world countries to be broken down. The end-of-life recyclers that Rocky Mountain Printer Repair, Inc. is currently using does not do this. They have gone through rigorous testing to comply with the R-2 government standard and have also complied with the even more rigorous E-Stewards initiative which has just recently became a certification. What does this mean for you? The R-2 Standard and the E-Stewards initiative are not required by law to operate a recycling company.

This means that the end-of-life recyclers that we use have been proven trustworthy by third party businesses as well as the United States Government. This means that you can rest assured knowing that your equipment will be disposed of properly effictively minimizing the amount of waste going back into our soils.

So now you may be asking yourself: "Why use a reputable company to recycle with?"

If you are a company you are required by Colorado law to dispose of your e-waste responsibly or suffer the penalties. With recent activities by recyclers across the U.S. there have been new Federal laws are in motion to prevent E-Waste dumping.

Home users are not required by law to recycle their electronic equipment but a surplus in E-waste, during the rise of the technology age, has caused contamination in our water supply and our soils.
